I've written and created websites for many years. And am up-to-date on usability (UX/User Experience), capabilities,
and best practices. Includes Information Architecture, microcopy, images, all that.
I was optimizing websites before "SEO" was a term. These days,
it's a complex specialty, and I leave
sophisiticated SEO planning to specialists. But I'm very good at the basics, and at
writing and editing to meet your specs.
I've planned and even built
many websites. These days I leave complex sites to development specialists, but
I can build a simple presence. I'm also up-to-date on capabilities and usability.
What's interesting and appreciated? What's fun? What belongs in your content-marketing plan?
It depends on you and your readers. Let's attract and please more of them.
I'm not a Public Relations specialist, but I can wear that hat. I've written many
press releases, long and short, can work the phone, have a degree in Journalism, and can cultivate contacts.
A Developmental Editor needs imagination ... and tact. Some writers and guest bloggers
don't take kindly to suggestions on developing and improving their thoughts. Others greatly appreciate the help.
So will you. If you're stuck for what to do next, you need a Developmental Editor.
I've planned and even built many websites, including stores. Now I leave complex development to
specialists, but can still create a simple one. I know what's possible, can manage the project, and
can manage the site once up, all that stuff.

Search Engine Optimization was common. These days SEO and SEM is a complex specialty, and I leave
sophisiticated SEO planning to specialists. But I know the basics, can do research, snippets, etc., and am very

Marketing Plans, Strategies, Market Positioning, Bios, White Papers, Product Profiles,
Proposals, Descriptions, and more.
It's all part of a
marketing copywriter's thought process. And often part of the job. I bring a wide, deep range of
Marketing Communications experience, in Consumer and Business marketplaces.
Although Photography has long been a hobby, I don't consider myself a professional photographer.
But I can do professional quality retouching and creative photomanipulation. Could your photos be improved? Most likely.
Finding the right stock photo at an affordable cost is a chore. It helps to know
the marketplaces. I do. In fact, the photos on this page are stock photos. All were processed in some way,
and some are composited or retouched.
Copywriting is a "people" business, and so is retailing. In fact, one of my retail campaigns won an Effie marketing award.
I work regularly with clients and their customers. As an actor, I observe people. And I had fun taking the Census.
Helping people is rewarding.
Lately, I've brought all this together, helping customers at a Trader Joe's. It's fun, it
keeps me in contact with young people (also keeps me in shape!), and the hours are flexible.
If you sell something I happen to know more than average about, so
much the better — talking the "Good Talk" is fun.
I've enjoyed fulltime office jobs in the past, and would welcome one again. What kind of
help do you need? I'm open to anything from typing and reception to correspondence, research, customer service, and
data management. I'm highly computer
literate, pick up on new software quickly, and have mentored others.
"Hybrid" can be anything. A combination of remote and in the office. Or flex time. Or
part-time. Whatever. Let's chat about your needs, and what will work best for you.
As a freelance copywriter, I've long worked from a home office. I've had many clients I never physically met,
even for many years. Good at managing projects on my own, I'm also good at collaborating, in person or whatever
remote technology we use.
I write them. I narrate them. I can even produce them. But I'm a collaborator. If you write or produce them, the
one thing I don't do is compete with you. Use what you will.
I'm comfortable working the phone. I do phone menus. On-hold messaging. Customer canvassing.
Writing and/or recording. Customer Service. Maybe even Tech Support. If it's
done by telephone – and legal – I can do it.
You may not need this. But if you happen to produce video or audio, including games,
audio tours, explainers, dramas, whatever, I'll happily audition.
Give a listen.
